If you have a fresh, small blood stain you may want to consider using saliva to get it out. Yes thats right, you can use your own spit to remove blood stains, it works because the enzymes in saliva help to break down the protein in blood.
All you need to do is put a generous amount of saliva onto the stain, wait a few moments and then, with a damp clean cloth or tissue, blot the stain. Depending on how fresh the stain is you may need to put more saliva on the stain, or consider using a stronger method.
Logically this method is only really feasable on small stains, and as with all blood stains the sooner you treat the stain, the easier it will come out. This method should be safe on all materials.
